A Fast, Cheesy Way to Make French Onion Soup in Your Toaster

Equipment

• Revolution Connect Plus Smart Toaster
• Revolution Toastie Press™

Ingredients:

• 2 slices sourdough bread
• 2 slices Swiss cheese
• 1/2 yellow onion, thinly sliced
• Butter/olive oil for sautéing (1/2 Tbsp.)
• 1/2 cup “Au Jus”, for dipping

Prep the ingredients: 

1. Melt some butter or olive oil over medium heat in a skillet.
2. Add your thinly sliced onion and cook until brown and tender (about 5-7 mins).
3. Take off the heat and set to the side.

Assemble the sandwich:

1. On the first slice of bread, layer Swiss cheese, caramelized onion, Swiss cheese.
2. Close it up with the other piece of bread.

Toast it:

1. Add your sandwich to your Revolution Toastie Press, close and lock it into place.
2. Put it in your toaster with the handles facing outward.
