Revolution Cooking InstaGLO technology is a patented heating system that offers a faster, hotter, more consistent and precise heating experience, locking in moisture and flavor. Advanced Heat Science: The Revolution Toaster incorporates our patented InstaGLO heating technology that allows us to create algorithms specifically designed for each bread type. Part of the these algorithms involve the heating elements turning on and off during specific cycles of toasting to create the most optimal toasting outcome.

For example, you may see the outer heating elements turn off and on during the bagel setting (and others) to focus the cooking on the cut side of the bagel and slightly warming the outside to avoid overcooking the item and deliver a fresh out the oven bagel experience.

Not yet! Our current Revolution Toasters are electronically controlled and can only be used with a 120-Volt power outlet. Products damaged as a result of connection to irregular current or voltage sources or use on electric or other current or voltage other than that marked on the product or user manual will void all warranties. R180 InstaGLO Toaster User Manual

The R180 Connect is the World’s first connected toaster! Everything you love about the Revolution InstaGLO R180 Toaster is now with connected features that include wi-fi, an auto-set clock, a weather widget, improved toasting, and over-the-air updates!

Network connectivity is used by your Revolution Toaster to automatically check for software update availability, set the time, and display the weather forecast. It is also used to download software updates (only installed with user permission). By connecting your toaster to receive notifications, date/ time, and weather-related information, you agree that we may collect your IP address. Your toaster does not collect or share any personally identifiable information, nor does Revolution Cooking collect or store usage information from your toaster.

No problem! If you don’t want to connect your toaster to the internet, it will work perfectly as your favorite toaster. You can go into the settings to manually set your clock. Please note if Revolution Cooking releases any software updates, you will need to be connected to receive them.

Once connected to your local wi-fi, one way to find your location is by using the auto-detect function. If that detects your correct location, you're done!

Auto-detect sets your location by pinging the closest hub your internet service provider is using, which may not always be in your home town. If the auto-detect does not display your preferred location, you can use the search bar in the “location” setting to type in your city or town.

Revolution Cooking may release some software updates. To receive these updates, your toaster must be connected to your local network. If the settings menu, a red bubble will appear over “System Update”. Click on that and a message will appear explaining exactly what will be updated. This should only take a couple of minutes and then we will get you right back to toasting!

Yes! For best results, this accessory is recommended for use with Revolution InstaGLO® Toasters. However, it works great with most toasters but may require additional toasting time. As always, never leave your toaster unattended and cancel the toasting cycle at any time if needed.

The Revolution Toastie Press is designed to fit in any toaster with a standard size slot. The Toastie Press measures 5" wide by 1" deep. Measure your toaster to ensure the slot size is at least 5.1" x 1.1" with a tape measure. We recommend unplugging your toaster before measuring.

If you have a toaster with an automatic lift and lower, we recommend only using 1 Revolution Toastie Press at a time. The weight of two Toastie Presses plus the sandwich ingredients inside may be too heavy for the lift motor. If you have a lever toaster, using two Toastie Presses may not be a problem. In all cases, you should should insert Toastie Presses gently and never push down or force a Toastie Press into place.

Get creative! You can make anything from classic savory grilled cheese to a sweet melty dessert toastie! Do keep in mind not to add oils or items with high moisture that could affect your creation. For inspiration, check out some of our favorite recipeshere.

The Revolution Toastie Press was created with drips in mind! The clam shell closure is designed to contain drips to keep your toaster nice and clean.

The Revolution Toastie Press is easy to clean. You can simply rinse and wipe it clean with a cloth or sponge, plus soap and water, or place it in the dishwasher on the top rack. The Revolution Toastie Press has a non-stick coating, so we recommend avoiding scraping, or using harsh scrub pads. Just a soft cloth or sponge should do the trick!

Your toaster will remind you when it’s time to clean the crumb tray! Please follow the steps below to clean your toaster: 1.) Remove the power plug from the power outlet and allow the toaster to cool completely before cleaning. 2.) To clean any crumbs from the toaster, remove the crumb tray by pulling it outwards. Empty and replace the crumb tray before using the toaster again. Replace the crumb tray by sliding it inwards until it locks into position. 3.) Wipe the outside of the toaster with a slightly dampened soft cloth then polish with a soft dry cloth to dry completely.

Wipe clean with damp cloth. Dry thoroughly.

The crumb tray is a tray that slides into the bottom of your toaster, below the heating and cooking elements, to catch the crumbs that may fall off your food while toasting. We recommend emptying the crumb tray often to avoid build up. Failure to clean the crumb tray regularly may result in a fire hazard and damage to the toaster.

To remove the crumb tray, push it in to eject, then pull it towards you. Empty the tray and replace it by sliding it inwards until it locks into position. Be sure to replace the crumb tray before using the toaster again.

To prevent accidental activation your R180 toaster features a specific two-touch start process to ensure your safety.

To ensure that your toaster does not overheat during extensive, continuous use, the R180 is equipped with a thermal safety shut-down. The Start button will be disabled and a “Recalibrating” message will be seen on the touchscreen while your toaster cools down. Once your toaster is ready for use, the Start button will be reactivated.

Unplug your toaster, wait 30 seconds and plug it back in to reboot your toaster. After the reboot, you will need to update the date and time settings on your clock display.

Before using your toaster for the first time, however, we recommend selecting Bread, Level 4, and running two toast cycles without food in the toaster to prepare it for toasting (don’t forget to first remove the cardboard inserts).

The different moisture levels in breads do require various toasting times, which is why our smart sensor technology provides 5 food settings and 7 toasting shades to optimize toasting based on food type.

No, larger bakery-style bagels require a different toasting setting for perfect results. If you typically toast these larger bagels, press the gear icon and select the “Large Bagel” setting. Note: your toaster’s default setting is optimized for pre-packaged, store-bought bagels.

Uneven toasting is often due to the varying thickness of the bread or bagel. We recommend that you slice bagels and English Muffins into equal halves before toasting.

Yes. We recommend you remove any loose fruit from the surface of the bread to avoid it falling into the toaster or sticking to the toaster carriage. The extra sugar and moisture in a fruit bread may require you to adjust the settings to avoid burning the fruit. You can always press the cancel button if needed.

Yes! Your toaster will defrost and toast bread, bagels, waffles, English muffins and toaster pastries.

For sweeter breads (e.g. challah, Hawaiian bread, etc.), we recommend the following settings:

R270 Toasters: Cinnamon Raisin Bread setting. Or, if you have a Warming Rack accessory, use the Warming Rack setting.

R180 Toasters: Bread, Reheat setting. Or, if you have Warming Rack accessory, use Bread, Fresh, Level 1.

With the extra sugar content in these types of bread, toasting at any other setting can potentially cause your bread to burn or start to smoke. As always, never leave your toaster unattended and cancel the toasting cycle at any time if needed.

Introduction to the Warranty

Revolution Cooking warranties this product to be free from defects in material or workmanship within the first two years of ownership. This limited warranty does not cover failures due to abuse, use outside a home environment, accidental damage or when repairs have been made or attempted by anyone. This warranty does not apply to accessories. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may have other rights which vary from state to state. This product is not intended for commercial use, and accordingly, commercial use of this product will void this warranty. All other guarantees, express or implied, are hereby disclaimed.

Geographic Territory

All Fifty States of the United States and the District of Columbia and provinces or territories of Canada. The warranty shall not apply to any U.S. territory, commonwealth, possession or protectorate.

Terms of Warranty Coverage

Limited, non-transferable warranty for two years from the date of the purchase.

Covers defects in product materials or workmanship.

Effect of the Warranty

Within the warranty period, Revolution Cooking may at its sole discretion:

Replace the product entirely with a new identical or comparable product at no additional charge to the consumer

Warranty will be voided for the following reasons:

Products damaged due to corrosion, rust, stain, age

Products damaged by improper or discouraged use, mishandling, negligence, excessive wear and tear

Products damaged by operating or maintaining the product not consistent with the instruction manual provided by Revolution Cooking or by failing to follow safety, operating, care or cleaning instructions

Products where the product number model or serial number has been removed, replaced, altered or rendered illegible

Damage to LCD or other read-out displays on products attributable to non-manufacturer defects such as mishandling during transportation, drops, spills and extreme temperatures

Cosmetic damages (including but not limited to scratches, imprint/water marks, cracks, dents, stains, etc.)

Products damaged directly or indirectly from the use of a 3rd party product

Products damaged as a result of acts of nature (e.g. fire, flood or lightning). – Products damaged as a result of connection to irregular current or voltage sources or use on electric or other current or voltage other than that marked on the product or instruction book

Products for which the consumer has no proof of purchase

Products when the warranty period has expired

Products not purchased from Revolution Cooking or through a Revolution Cooking authorized distributor or product reseller.

Products returned by the consumer to Revolution Cooking not using a Revolution Cooking provided shipping label which are lost, misdelivered or damaged in transit.

Warranty Claim Process

Revolution Cooking will send a pre-paid shipping label via email or regular mail so the product may be sent to Revolution Cooking at no cost to the consumer.

Once received, Revolution Cooking may ship a replacement product or contact the consumer with further information. Typical response time is up to 10 business days, plus shipping, depending upon the geographical location of the consumer and type of damage or the nature of the Warranty claim.

Revolution Cooking recommends that consumers use Revolution Cooking’s shipping label or a traceable, insured delivery service. Revolution Cooking is not responsible for any damage while a product is in transit or for products shipped by the consumer that are not received by Revolution Cooking.
