Leftover Pot Roast Burrito

A Quick Way to Turn Leftover Pot Roast Into a Burrito (In Your Toaster!)

Leftover pot roast doesn’t have to be a “same-day” meal. With the Revolution Toastie Press™, you can turn yesterday’s slow-cooked dinner into a crispy, melty, ultra-satisfying pot roast burrito—all in about 10 minutes. This recipe combines tender shredded beef, veggies, rich gravy, and melted jack cheese inside a perfectly folded tortilla you can cook directly in the toaster.

It’s the ideal blend of “comfort food meets convenience,” and it’s one of the most delicious ways to use leftovers you never knew existed.

Equipment

Ingredients:

  • 1 (10-inch) tortilla
  • 3 slices jack cheese
  • ~1/4 cup leftover pot roast meat, shredded
  • 1 teaspoon leftover pot roast gravy
  • 1 small piece of cooked carrot (from the pot roast)
  • 1 small piece of cooked potato (from the pot roast)
  • A few small pieces of cooked onion
  • Salsa, sour cream, and guacamole, for serving

Directions:

Prep the tortilla:

  1. Place the tortilla onto the Toastie Press surface. Add one slice of jack cheese on each half of the tortilla.

Add the filling:

  1. On one cheese slice, add the shredded pot roast and spoon the gravy over top.
  2. On the other cheese slice, add the carrot, potato, and onion.
  3. Gently mash the veggies so they spread across the cheese.
  4. Place the third slice of cheese on top of the meat.

Fold the burrito:

  1. Fold two opposite sides inward, then close the Toastie Press to fold the burrito onto itself.

Toast in the Toastie Press:

  1. Slide the locked Toastie Press into the toaster and select the Toastie Press setting.
  2. Select your toasting level, and press Start.

Enjoy:

Plate with sour cream, salsa, and guacamole. Serve immediately while the cheese is melty and the tortilla is crisp.

Tips for the Best Leftover Pot Roast Burrito:

  • If the meat is dry, add an extra teaspoon of gravy before folding.
  • For extra crunch, add a handful of crushed tortilla chips before toasting.
  • For spice, drizzle in hot sauce or add jalapeños.
  • For a heartier burrito, add beans or rice before folding.
