Make-Ahead Frozen Egg Bites
The Ultimate Meal Prep Egg Bites — Straight from Freezer to Perfect
If you’ve ever reheated egg bites in the microwave, you know the struggle: rubbery texture, uneven heating, and zero crisp.
This method changes that.
These make-ahead frozen egg bites are designed for busy mornings—prep once, freeze, and reheat in minutes using the Revolution Toastie Press™ for a perfectly crisp outside and soft, fluffy center every time.
Whether you’re feeding a family, prepping weekday breakfasts, or just want a better alternative to drive-thru egg bites, this is your new go-to.
Equipment:
Ingredients:
Makes 12 egg bites
- 6 large eggs
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup whole milk
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Optional Mix-Ins:
- 1/2 cup cooked meat (bacon, sausage, ham, or turkey)
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Gruyère)
- 1/4 cup vegetables (peppers, spinach, onion)
Directions:
Prepare the egg bites:
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 12-cup muffin tin.
- Cook any raw ingredients like bacon, sausage, or vegetables before adding them to the mixture.
- In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, milk, salt and pepper.
- Gently fold in your desired add-ins.
- Divide mixture evenly among the cups, filling each no more than 3/4 full (do not overfill).
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let egg bites cool completely, then transfer to a freezer-safe container and freeze for later.
Reheat frozen egg bites (the right way):
- Skip the microwave. Take 2 egg bites directly from the freezer. Place inside the Revolution Toastie Press and secure shut.
- Insert into the right slot of your toaster with handles facing out.
- Select Toastie Press Mode, choose your preferred doneness, and press Start.
Enjoy!
Plate and enjoy egg bites that are heated evenly, slightly crisp on the outside and soft and fluffy inside.
