Jon Ostrander's Croque Reuben Toastie

What You Need:

• Revolution Toastie Press™ Accessory
• 2 slices Dempster's honey oat bread 
• 6 slices Ziggy's brie cheese
• 3 slices Ziggy's thin sliced old fashioned ham
• 1 dill pickle
• Sauce:

- 1 Tbps. Kewpie mayo

- 1 Tsp dijon mustard

- 1 Tsp Woodsman prepared horseradish

- 1 Tsp confirm shallots (or caramelized onions)

10 years ago, Jon "Sandwich Dad" Ostrander started making a giant sandwich every year on his birthday instead of a birthday cake. Every year the sandwiches grew more and more elaborate and required more research and planning, turning him into an accidental sandwich scholar along the way. He began writing about sandwiches on a little WordPress blog, and gained his nickname as well as some small renown around his home in Whitehorse Yukon. Not long after that he began posting and narrating his sandwich making on TikTok, where he's well know as an integral part of #sandwichtok. 

How To Make It:

This take on the classic reuben sandwich is a little saucier, tastier, and a little more French! Nothing better than meat, cheese, pickles, and a yummy sauce between nicely toasted bread. This toastie tastes just as professional as it looks.

STACK IT.

• Grab your bread and spread the sauce on both sides of it. Place 3 slices of cheese on each side of the bread. Place 3 slices of ham on one piece of bread. Julien 1 dill pickle and place on the other side from the ham. 

TOAST IT.

• Put the sandwich together and place in the Revolution Toastie Press.
• Place the Toastie Press in your toaster and select your desired done-ness.

• Let it cool for 1 minute, the slice diagonally and enjoy!
