Frito Wrap Toastie

Make a delicious, crispy wrap and use up leftovers at the same time.

Meet the newest addition of our tortilla toasties (you can find more here): the Frito Wrap Toastie, a crunchy, melty, tasty handheld wrap.

The Frito Wrap Toastie serves as one of our simplest toasties to create and assemble, and is also a great way to use up leftovers. Do you have extra ground beef in the fridge that you don’t quite know how to repurpose? A spoonful amount of salsa in the jar you forgot about? Chives that you bought without a plan? A half-empty bag of chips? This recipe is the best way to use up these items and turn them into a new, delicous meal.

NOTE: The following ingredients serve more as a guide for flavor and texture than a strict must-have list of essentials. Items can easily be substituted with whatever your appetite calls for.

Equipment:

• Revolution Toastie Press

Ingredients:

• Flour tortilla

• Shredded cheese blend

• Frito chips

• Prepared ground beef/taco meat

• Salsa

• Chives (chopped)

Directions:

1. Lay your tortilla out flat and place a generous helping of shredded cheese in the middle. Fold the sides of the tortilla over the cheese, then fold the entire wrap in half.

2. Place the wrap into your Toastie Press and insert the press into your toaster slot with the handle facing outward. Select medium or high heat.

3. While the tortilla is toasting, prep your ground beef, salsa, and chives.

4. Safely remove the Toastie Press from the toaster (the Press will be hot).

5. Gently open the wrap--just enough to add your toppings.

6. Fill the crispy, melty wrap with Fritos, ground beef, salsa, and chives. Enjoy!
